Birkbeck University of London 2023 Goldman Sach and Birkbeck DIversity Scholarship

Through the Goldman Sachs and Birkbeck Diversity Scholarship, we are pleased to offer 10 scholarships of £5,000 per year to Black undergraduate students to increase diversity in finance. These scholarships have been made possible through generous support from Goldman Sachs Gives.

Students who are successful in securing a scholarship will have the opportunity to take part in additional engagement opportunities, including events, academic and professional development programmes, mentoring with experienced professionals and networking.

Birkbeck University of London Masters Scholarship


Aim and Benefits of Birkbeck University of London Masters Scholarship

These cash bursaries will offer financial support towards living costs for new undergraduate students with a Home fee status.

Successful candidates will be awarded a £5,000 cash bursary in each year of one of the three-year undergraduate programmes listed above.


Requirements for Birkbeck University of London Masters Scholarship Qualification

  • new undergraduate full-time students enrolling on the first year of one of the above listed programmes for the first time in 2023-24
  • undergraduate students who have completed a Foundation Year at Birkbeck and will be enrolling on the first year of one of the above listed programmes for the first time in 2023-24.

Applicants must also meet the following criteria:

  • qualify for Home fee status
  • not already hold a degree or an equivalent level qualification
  • be from a Black background.

Eligible groups include the following:

  • Black - African
  • Black - Caribbean
  • Black - Other
  • Mixed - White/Black Caribbean
  • Mixed - White/Black African
  • Other mixed background (to include Black African, Black Caribbean or Black Other)

Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis, so we advise applicants to submit their applications as soon as possible.
